Princess Beatrice announced her engagement today to boyfriend of 11 months, property developer, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi wearing gorgeous Zimmermann floral maxi-dress.
Buckingham Palace, Beatrice’s mum Sarah Ferguson, and younger sister Princess Eugenie all shared images of the special engagement announcement (opens in new tab) on their respective social media platforms.
In an official statement, Beatrice and Edoardo said, “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement.
“We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to actually be married.
In the lovely photographs, Princess Beatrice is captured wearing a gorgeous green floral Zimmermann’s maxi-dress, as identified by HeavenLM on Twitter (@HeavenQRF (opens in new tab)). The 1970’s style Allia dress is available to buy on matchesfashion.com for £595. (opens in new tab)
The stunning dress is described as “crafted from breathable linen..", "with lightly gathered cropped sleeves".
The Sydney-based fashion brand is a favourite brand with other young royals, with gorgeous dresses having previously been worn by the Duchess of Cambridge, The Duchess of Sussex and Zara Tindall.
But for us mere mortals, £550 is probably too much to pay for a floral frock.
So luckily, high-street reliable Marks & Spencer is selling a fashionable replica of Beatrice’s gorgeous green floral frock online!
BUY IT HERE, £65 (opens in new tab)
This lovely midi dress is super similar to Beatrice's, with a matching green colour and pink floral print. But, it's a fraction of the cost of the royal's on sale for just £65!
At the time of writing, this relaxed feminine midi dress is still available to buy in all sizes, but don’t hesitate – this won’t stay in stores forever.
The Duchess of York also took to her Twitter to share adorable engagement photos of Beatrice and Edo, as well as black and white photographs taken by Misan Harriman at Royal Lodge, Windsor Great Park.
In these photographs, Beatrice is pictured wearing another Zimmermann red silk dress, which is also still available to purchase for £550. (opens in new tab)
Beatrice teamed her outfits with her dazzling engagement ring, which was designed by Edoardo alongside British jewellery designer Shaun Leane.
Congrats Beatrice and Edo!
