High-street retailer Phase Eight is a go-to for whenever we need an occasion dress.

Weddings (opens in new tab), graduations, regattas, races and even garden parties - the smart but feminine brand has long been dressing most of us for all of our summer events.

But this year with the nation having been in lockdown for three months due to the coronavirus outbreak and only now slowly coming out of it, our usual summer calendar is looking somewhat emptier than it usually is.

The flattering Penele dress has been repeated snapped up by customers over the last few months for its pretty print, sunny colours and flattering fit.
