Jeans and a blazer has long been a classic casual combination, so it was no surprise that Olivia Colman chose the chic duo after she walked in the Miu Miu show at Paris Fashion Week.

She brought an inspiring spin by styling her straight-leg, vintage-washed jeans and navy blazer, whose structured shoulders and longline fit created a laid-back but still polished feel, with a polo shirt over the more frequently seen layer of a T-shirt.

And her accessories were thoughtful too, as she carried the Miu Miu rendez-vous leather shoulder bag, with its braided top handle and saddle bag-inspired shape lending it a refined, western flair, and slipped into a pair of Miu Miu’s 105mm buckle-detail slingback pumps to bring a pop of trending red into the look.

Get Olivia Colman's Look

As we look ahead to the autumn outfit ideas we’re all going to rely on over the season, no formula is more reliable than jeans and a blazer. It works for nearly any dress code, creating a deliberate balance between structured elegance and relaxed casualness. Olivia opted for sleek heels, though a pair of your best white trainers would quickly transition her style into something more wearable for everyday.

A red shoe couldn’t be more perfect for this time of year, as the bold hue is dominating autumn/winter fashion colour trends for 2026. Rather than colour-blocked looks, we’re seeing this tone rear its head as an accent and, if you’ve been unsure how to style it, Olivia’s look proves that colourful footwear is the right place to start.
