Last week, Duchess Meghan Markle paid a surprise visit to an East London secondary school.
The engagement came as part of her last handful of engagements, before she and her husband Prince Harry stepped back from being senior members of the royal family this week.
Meghan left pupils from Robert Clack school in Dagenham thrilled when she made an appearance to speak to them about the importance of International Women’s Day.
During the special day, the former actress screamed chic and sophisticated, sporting a cream, boucle blazer with a pair of smart black trousers and a pair of classic heels.
The stylish, fringed jacket is from high end brand ME+EM and would set you back a pricey £295 if you wanted it in your own wardrobe.
No fear if you have your eye on it though, because Marks and Spencer has a super similar one in stock, and it’s a fraction of the price.
The high street favourite’s Ivory Tweed Slim Longline Blazer costs £89 and would be a stunning addition to anyone’s fashion collection.
Featuring a raw edge at the hem and neck just like Meghan’s, Marks and Spencer’s version also sports statement gold buttons, a smart, straight fit cut and a long line shape to skim the hips. It even comes in black.
It’s had some sparkling reviews from shoppers as well, with some comparing it to a Chanel piece.
‘I love this affordable Chanel style blazer and have bought one in Black and also in Cream. M&S is bringing out some classic items once again and love their style of blazers, great for work but also to dress up over skinny jeans and a nice blouse,’ one penned.
‘Fits like a dream. Have worn casually with jeans and with a dress for a formal occasion. This is now my favourite go to jacket,’ swooned another.
A third wrote, ‘As soon as I saw this jacket I knew I had to have it. I hoped I wouldn’t be disappointed and I wasn’t! It’s fit is true to size , it looks so stylish too. I’ve worn it over a dress and worn it with jeans and it looked great. I’m going to be wearing this a lot!‘
