First Lady Dr. Jill Biden recycles Vogue cover dress during vaccination tour
The First Lady is a strong advocate for sustainable practices and making the most of her wardrobe favorites
First Lady Dr. Jill Biden is showing she isn’t afraid to give an outfit an encore. During her vaccination tour in Georgia, advocating for people to continue to get vaccinated and boost immunity rates in under-vaccinated areas, the First Lady stepped out in the exact Oscar de la Renta dress she wore on Vogue’s August cover. The difference between her look then compared to now though comes down to her accessories.
How she makes it work though, is by accessorizing her outfits differently each time. Just because you wear the same article of clothing numerous times doesn’t mean you can’t add accessories to zhuzh it up more.
The floral pattern and balloon sleeves steal the show in the cover photograph, creating an elegant, put-together look. When visiting a Georgia vaccination site, she rewore the dress with added layers to create a new look entirely. Rather than keep it in its original formal form, she turned the dress into a fun casual outfit by adding a front-tie belt. The red color seamlessly tied together the outfit and brought a pop of color to draw the eye in.

Nothing says summer more than a staple floral dress. Upgrade your wardrobe with this navy pleated dress completed with a vibrant red belt.
The outing brings a pop of color to the dress, thanks to the addition of a bright red belt. This isn’t the first time she’s been seen repeating an outfit either. Fans have been advocating for her recycling fashion by rewearing her casual wedges on numerous occasions and even sporting the same summer dresses for various public events.
Moments like these prove that even high-profile figures, including the Duchess Kate Middleton, don’t need to constantly sport a new outfit. While adding new pieces to our closets is exciting, Biden continues to prove that wearing the same outfit doesn’t have to look the same if you accessorize it right.
