'There's a peace plan in action' royal expert says Prince Harry and Prince William's friends are desperate for a truce
The brothers share mutual friends
A royal expert has claimed there are several "peace plans in action" as friends of both Prince William and Prince Harry rally round to try and heal their rift.
- Royal Lacey says friends of the brothers are keen for a reconciliation following months of feuding.

It's not just members of the royal family who are keen for Prince William and Prince Harry to put an end to their rift.
According to royal biographer, Robert Lacey, the friends whom the boys share are also desperate for a reconciliation.
"The oh-so-unforgiving and unforgetting brothers are surrounded by a network of devoted friends and family members who are working seriously to ease the path to a truth," Robert writes in a column for the Daily Mail.
"And their efforts are matched by deliberate and constructive initiatives being think-tanked inside the Palace."
He refers to the collective effort as a "peace plan" and says it is very much "in action" behind closed doors.
Robert explained, "This discreet and concerned support system is made up of a blend of schoolmates, playmates, fellow revellers at 'Club H' (the brothers' discotheque in the basement at Highgrove), companions from the Armed forces, royal mentors and aides who have earned special confidence over the years—plus a few older pillars of wisdom and advice among Diana's friends."

Though there seemed to be a glimmer of hope as Prince Harry and Prince William walked together after Prince Philip's funeral, the hope of a reconciliation was short-lived as a source close to the boys said they began "quarrelling again" once out of shot of cameras.
Speaking of the rift that has only got worse in the months since Prince Harry stepped back as a senior royal, an anonymous friend said, "The rage and anger between those two has grown so incredibly deep."
It was the Duchess of Cambridge who encouraged the brothers to have a heart-to-heart at Prince Philip's funeral back in April, and it was thought she could ease tensions at the unveiling of Princess Diana's memorial statue next week.
But it looks like Kate Middleton has been cut from the guest list, which has been scaled-back due to covid-19 restrictions.
On Friday Kensington Palace confirmed that Prince Harry and Prince William will be the only senior royals to attend.
A statement released said, "Prince Harry and Prince William will attend a small event to mark the unveiling of a statue they commissioned of their mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace on Thursday 1 July."
It comes after reports she and William are set to make a secret trip to America this summer to continue attempts to "make the peace".
It's been just under a year since the brothers commissioned the statue of their mother to mark her 60th birthday.
In a joint statement at the time, they said, "It has been 20 years since our mother's death and the time is right to recognise her positive impact in the UK and around the world with a permanent statue."
So, despite their differences there's no doubt the brothers will put on a united front next week to pay tribute to their beloved mother.
