The Queen has been spotted being driven in a car on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, while she enjoys a break in the countryside.

It was confirmed last week by Buckingham Palace that the Queen would be enjoying a break at Sandringham House, her Norfolk country estate.

Buckingham Palace confirmed last week that she would be travelling to Norfolk from Scotland and on Monday she was pictured in the passenger seat of her Range Rover as she was chauffeured around her estate.

The Queen looked happy and relaxed in a white shirt, pearl earrings and some casual sunglasses.

An eagle-eyed fan wrote on twitter alongside the pics, "Her Majesty has been spotted being driven by her racing manager, John Warren, around the Sandringham Estate."

It's been a busy week for the Queen, who carried out three engagements in Scotland this week in celebration of Holyrood Week. The Queen was seen in high spirits again last week in Palace of Holyroodhouse, her official residence in Edinburgh.

Her Majesty attended the Reddendo Parade alongside son Prince Charles on Thursday, while on Tuesday the Queen watched a parade in the palace gardens put on by the army, the navy and the air force.

The Queen spends the majority of her time living at Buckingham Palace, but it’s no secret that Her Majesty enjoys a countryside escape to Sandringham House throughout the seasons. The estate is just three hours' drive from the Queen's home in London, so makes for the perfect weekend getaway or short break.

Located in Norfolk, Sandringham House stands within a 20,000 acres estate in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - so it's no wonder the Queen enjoys her time there.
