Prince William has visited the Dubai landmark opened by the Queen during his first trip to the United Arab of Emirates earlier today.
- Prince William has visited an iconic Middle Eastern site opened by the Queen over 40 years ago on his first-ever trip to Dubai.
- The Duke of Cambridge flew to the United Arab of Emirates to strengthen Britain's relations with the affluent Middle Eastern country over a one-day-long tour.
- In other royal news, Prince Charles tests positive for Covid-19 for SECOND time.
Prince William has visited a major landmark opened by Her Majesty over 40 years ago on his first-ever trip to Dubai, just a few days after it was revealed that he supports his grandmother's decision to make Duchess Camilla a Queen Consort.
The Duke of Cambridge landed in the United Arab of Emirates on Wednesday night for a whirlwind tour of the Middle Eastern country's infrastructure, marking his first overseas royal engagement in more than two years. The historic visit comes in the UAE's 50th anniversary year and overlaps with the UK national day celebrations at Expo 2020 Dubai.
William, who traveled from England on a commercial flight, said he hopes to "discuss the vital issue of working together with the UAE and international partners to achieve a more sustainable world" during the one-day-long stay. It's understood that he also wishes to strengthen Britain's trade relations with the Gulf state in the aftermath of Brexit.

The Duke's first stop on the exciting trip was to the Jubail Mangroves, a nature preserve and mangrove sanctuary in the country's capital city, Abu Dhabi. He got his green fingers out as he joined a group of schoolchildren to plant a tree at the park, which aims to protect the Abu Dhabi Coastline and support biodiversity. He also offered some words of encouragement to the eco-conscious students, telling them, "You are the future. Keep up the good work."
It was then time for William to visit the Port of Jebel Ali, which was opened by the Queen in 1979. Retracing his grandmother's steps, the Duke was undeniably in awe of the size of the manmade transport hub.
"The sheer scale of Jebel Ali Port is phenomenal," he wrote on the Cambridges' Twitter. "Heralded the ‘engine’ of Dubai, this is one of the busiest ports in the world, seeing thousands of containers and cargoes go through it everyday."

After receiving a short tour of the site, he moved on to the third engagement on the busy program—a meeting with the team at DP world, a major contributor to William's United for Wildlife campaign.
It's understood that the Duke will be back in England by tomorrow.
