Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to get a lesson in pouring the perfect pint during Irish tour

Prince William and Duchess Catherine are set to embark on a three-day tour of Ireland starting today, in which they'll learn how to pour the perfect pint of Guiness.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are undertaking a whirlwind three-day tour of Ireland in coming days, in which they will visit Dublin, Meath, Kildare and Galway.

During their trip William, 37, and Catherine, 38, will be joined at the Guiness Factory by Master Brewer Fergal Murray - who will give them a personal lesson in pouring the perfect pint.

They are also set to visit Parnell Square's Garden of Remembrance to pay their respects to those who "gave their lives in the cause of Irish freedom" and meet with Irish President Michael D Higgins.

The couple - who tied the knot in 2011 - also plan to meet with mental health charity, Jigsaw, and head to Galway - the European Capital of Culture for 2020.

According to the palace, their trip will "focus on the relationship between [the UK and Ireland], and build on the theme of remembrance and reconciliation".

With the Queen not undertaking overseas travel now she's 93 and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepping back from the fold, the other royals will no doubt have to attend more royal engagements as a consequence.

Royal expert, Duncan Larcombe explained, “It’s the younger royals who are increasingly taking a lot of pressure off the Queen in terms of foreign travel. The Queen doesn’t do royal tours any more. So it would mean more work for the others.”
