The subtle way Prince Harry showed support for wife Meghan Markle during last royal engagement

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have stepped out for their last royal engagement, alongside the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle joined other members of the royal family in what is thought to be their last official engagement as 'senior' royals.

Meghan looked stunning in a green dress by designer Emilia Wickstead and a matching hat by William Chambers, while Prince Harry kept it simple in a blue suit.

But you might have missed the sweet yet subtle way the prince showed support for his wife during their goodbye to royal life, and showed a united front.

While they did not seem to have coordinated their outfits at a first glance, Harry was actually sporting the same shade of green as Meghan, but this was only noticeable when a gust of wind revealed the lining underneath his suit jacket.

After a busy week in the UK filled with royal engagements, the pair are expected to return to Canada, where they have been staying for a few months.

They will also be reunited with their son Archie, as he didn't join them for the quick trip to the other side of the pond.

Meghan and Harry announced their departure from the royal family back in January, in a announcement that shocked royal fans all over the world.

They wrote on Instagram at the time, 'After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen.

'It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment. We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages. This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity.

'We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties. Until then, please accept our deepest thanks for your continued support. - The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.'
