Prince Harry can be heard making a heartbreakingly lovely comment about his "mummy" Princess Diana in an unearthed clip that is circulating on social media.

The footage, taken from Elizabeth at 90: A family tribute, a documentary that was released to mark Her Majesty the Queen's 90th birthday in 2016, also gives an insight into the strong bond that Prince Harry and Prince William once shared.

The video, shared on TikTok account, @theinconic90s, features the brothers watching a video shot at Prince Harry's christening, which was held at Windsor Castle in December 1884.

Of course, the late Princess of Wales can be seen cradling her new son in the video, while Prince Charles has young Prince William in his arms.

Meanwhile, the Queen, Princess Margaret, Lady Sarah Chatto, Prince Philip, Prince Edward and the Queen Mother also appear.

One part of the years old snippet shows Diana kneeling down and calling Prince Harry and Prince William's cousin, Zara Tindall (then Zara Phillips) over to take a look at baby Harry.

Princess Diana is wearing a striking royal blue dress with coordinating hat and pearl jewelry.

Admiring his mother's gorgeous appearance in the retro video, Prince Harry makes a devastatingly sweet comment to Prince William, saying, "Mummy looks great in blue."

The resurfaced clip, shot long before Prince Harry had left his royal duties for life in LA with wife Meghan Markle, also highlights the cheeky banter that the royal brothers once had together.

"It's hard to tell if you're a boy or a girl in that sort of dress," William says to Harry, teasing him about his long, lacy christening gown.

"Thank you for that," Harry quips back, adding, "I think that normally happens at this stage of your life, you don't really have much decision about what you're wearing."

The brothers are believed to be enduring a strained relationship ever since Prince Harry stepped back from his role as a senior member of the royal family and opened up about the unhappiness he suffered during his time within The Firm, in his and Meghan Markle's explosive Oprah Winfrey interview.

Prince Harry has admitted he and William are on "different paths" and insisted that he and Prince Charles are "trapped" within the system of the monarchy.

The Duke of Sussex also recently admitted he feels his parents brought him into a cycle of "genetic pain and suffering" and shed light on more of the miserable times he faced growing up in the royal spotlight in his and Oprah's mental health documentary, The Me You Can't See.

Speaking out on the "triggering" memories that come from walking behind Diana's coffin at her funeral, Prince Harry told Oprah, "For me, the thing I remember the most was the sound of the horses hooves going along the Mall, the red brick road.

"It was like I was outside my body and just walking along doing what was expected of me, showing one tenth of the emotion that everyone else was showing."
