Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are spending their Christmas holiday in Canada. The pair are enjoying a six-week break.

It has been confirmed that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are spending their Christmas break in Canada.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are enjoying a six-week break from royal duties along with their seven-month-old son Archie.

And while speculation has been rife as to where the adorable family will be spending the festive period, after it was revealed that they would not be spending Christmas at Sandringham with the Queen, most royal fans suspected that the Sussexes would be heading to the US for the month.

However, Kensington Palace has now confirmed that the family are over Canada for their festive break.

The country has a special place in Duchess Meghan’s heart, as she lived in major city Toronto for seven years while she acted in TV series Suits.

"The decision to base themselves in Canada reflects the importance of this Commonwealth country to them both," said the couple’s spokeswoman.

"The Duke of Sussex has been a frequent visitor to Canada over many years, and it was also home to The Duchess for seven years before she became a member of the Royal Family.

"They are enjoying sharing the warmth of the Canadian people and the beauty of the landscape with their young son."

This Christmas will be a special one for the Duke and Duchess, as it is their first as a family of three, since they welcomed baby son Archie earlier this year in May.

It is expected that the Duchess’s mother Doria Ragland, who currently lives over in Los Angeles, will join the Sussexes for Christmas so that she can enjoy the holiday with her new grandson.
