Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex are planning to keep in touch with the Royal Family via Zoom this Christmas, a source has claimed.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be spending this Christmas away from the wider Royal Family in California. There had been some speculation as to whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would fly back to the UK for Christmas.

However the travel restrictions due to the pandemic and the Queen’s cancellation of the traditional family celebrations at Sandringham could have influenced the couple’s decision to stay in America.

But that doesn’t mean they’ll be out of contact. A source has now claimed that the Duke of Sussex is planning on keeping in touch with his family this Christmas.

And it seems he’ll be doing it the same way as so many others this year...

How will Prince Harry and the Royal Family keep in touch this Christmas?

A source has reportedly revealed to ET that the Royal Family is “planning Zoom calls and games online because they can’t all spend Christmas at Sandringham together like they normally do”.

This comes after it was announced that the Queen has elected to spend Christmas “quietly” at Windsor Castle with Prince Philip.

This marks the first time in many years that the Royal Family have not celebrated Christmas at Sandringham in Norfolk.

How has Prince Harry’s relationship with the Royal Family changed?

This same insider also supposedly opened up about the way in which this year has seen Prince Harry’s relationship with his wider family change for the better. They stated: “Everyone is on better terms and have been for quite some time”, explaining that “COVID has brought everyone closer together”.

This could well be the case as both Prince Harry’s father Prince Charles and brother Prince William contracted covid-19 earlier this year.

The source added that although there “have been disagreements”, these are not as serious as they have been reported to be and “the brotherly bond is still intact”.

Is Prince Harry still a prince?

Despite Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle stepping down as senior royals earlier this year, they remain members of the Royal Family. Prince Harry remains a prince and Meghan are both still Duke and Duchess Sussex respectively.

However, the suggestion has been made that the couple are “quite likely” to lose HRH titles when their current situation is reviewed.

Until then, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be enjoying spending Christmas with son Archie and, if reports are true, enjoying some wonderful family time via Zoom with the Royal Family.
