Prince George has been likened to the Queen's father, King George VI, during his most recent public outing, after displaying similar qualities to the late sovereign.
The eight-year-old joined the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to enjoy England's Six Nations match against Wales at Twickenham Stadium in London on Saturday, marking his first official royal engagement of 2022.
The exciting appearance comes shortly after it was confirmed that Kate Middleton would replace Prince Harry's rugby patronage following his high-profile emigration to the US with Meghan Markle. The athletic 40-year-old is now the proud English rugby patron, while her husband, William, continues to serve as the patron of the Welsh team.
Prince George arrived at the sporting event wearing a Polo Ralph Lauren navy and red coat, looking notably taller than his last public outing at the Euros 2020. The royal heir also came across as older in his behavior, waiting patiently while his VIP parents spoke to dignitaries and organizers before the game.
The adorable schoolboy's timid nature has garnered him comparisons with the Queen's father, King George VI, whom he was named after.
Royal fans were quick to point out the similarities between the late monarch and his great-great-grandson, with some even saying that the crossover is a sign of the Cambridge firstborn's future ruling qualities.

"He’s definitely shy and reserved but that’s not such a bad thing," one person commented on Youtube. "George VI was quite shy himself and had a stutter but he turned out to be a great leader and king when his brother abdicated the throne despite being shy and having a stutter."
It remains unclear which UK nation Prince George supports, but by the looks of his delighted face during England's triumph at the weekend, it seems he might be a bigger fan of his native country.
