Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla aren’t the only members of the Royal Family to open up their gardens to craft a refreshing gin, as the Queen also had a tipple made from her garden earlier this year.

The lovely drink was made using botanicals from the garden at Buckingham Palace, with the product description on the Royal Collection website reading, ‘Presenting the launch of our Buckingham Palace gin.

‘The spirit has a unique royal origin, with many of its citrus and herbal notes sourced from botanicals gathered in the Buckingham Palace Gardens.

Giving a background the ingredients, they continued, ‘Lemon, verbena, hawthorn berries and mulberry leaves are among the 12 botanicals hand-picked for the gin in the Gardens at Buckingham Palace, which span 16 hectares and provide a habitat for 30 species of bird and over 250 species of wild flower.

The new gin is small batch so it probably won’t be available for long. So if you want to sit back and sip like the royal couple we’d snap one up quick!
