- Prince Charles and his wife Camilla once spent $500k on a single royal trip, official reports reveal.
- The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall are said to spend more money on travel than any other member of the royal family.
- This royal news comes as it's revealed the Queen doesn’t stop for red traffic lights.
Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall have spent $500k on one royal tour, official reports have revealed.
It comes after it was revealed Prince Charles has given up his beloved home ahead of becoming king.
Each year, the money spent by the royal family is released in the form of a Sovereign Grant Report and it breaks down exactly how the royals spend money given to them by the government.

But the report details the cost of one trip in particular - which was a staggering $500k.
Prince Charles has previously been criticized for his travel methods, after flying a private helicopter - despite claiming to be pro-environmental.
Reflecting on the year 2018-19, the Keeper of the Privy Purse, Sir Michael Stevens, said, "The year under review has been another busy period for the Royal Household with The Queen undertaking 140 official engagements in the United Kingdom, including the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting at Buckingham Palace and the visit of the President of the United States to Windsor. In addition, the program of other Members of the Royal Family who support The Queen helped the Royal Family deliver over 3,200 official engagements across the UK and overseas."
And it looks like the future king and queen consort don't seem to mind how much they spend on their royal needs after splurging more than $1 million on three royal trips between 2018 and 2019.

But it's their early spring 2019 trip to the Caribbean, where they jetted off for a 12-day tour, which has cost the most money for a single trip.
During their visit, the Duke and Duchess visited 10 islands, including Cuba - making them the first royals to make an official visit to Cuba.
But the expense of the trip racked up to around $560,000. And while the trip had some serious engagements, the pair were also able to let their hair down and have some fun. From drinking rum and making mojitos in Cuba to strolling on the beach in Grenada, Charles and Camilla appeared to be having the time of their lives.
The couple even felt so relaxed that they were said to have broken royal protocol by hugging people in Barbados, according to Insider.
But just how did they spend that amount of money? Well, the main cost of the trip is likely to be paying for the travel and security throughout the 12-days - covering more than 50 official royal engagements on those 10 islands, will certainly have contributed.
