Meghan Markle has delighted fashion fans with her latest outfit on Ellen, proving that no matter how far she is from Buckingham Palace, she'll always dress like a royal.

She may no longer have a Royal Family stylist on hand, but when it comes to nailing a look, Meghan Markle knows exactly what's doing.

On the same evening that Kate Middleton wore a bedazzled Jenny Packham gown at the Royal Variety Performance, the Duchess of Sussex was gracing small screens across the globe for her first live TV show appearance in several years. Meghan joined Ellen Degeneres on her popular NBC talk show on Thursday for an exclusive interview on motherhood, her marriage to Prince Harry, her early acting actor, and even political issues like paid parental leave.

The 40-year-old embraced a business-casual vibe for the candid chat, rocking a billowy, white Oscar de la Renta blouse and a belted pair of black trousers, before dialing up the glamor with her second outfit.

During the hilarious prank segment of the show, which introduced three unsuspecting vendors (and millions of viewers) to Meghan Markle's cat and chipmunk impression, the mom-of-two stepped out in a hot-pink shirt and midi skirt by Stella McCartney.

Clearly inspired by the Queen's style tips to always color block, she teamed the floaty gown with a collarless Annie Bing cream coat and a simple black tote bag—resulting in the perfect daytime shopping attire. If you want to achieve the exact look though, be prepared to shell out some serious cash. The two-piece combo will set you back nearly $1600, with the shirt retailing at $595 (£420) and the skirt costing $975 (£675).

The Naya midi skirt will add a feminine touch to your everyday wardrobe. It's made from lightweight silk with a high-rise waist and asymmetric handkerchief hem.

Luckily, we've found an alternative that will have you looking just like Meghan Markle—at least, from a distance. While it's technically not a two-piece, this Sleeveless Shift Midi Dress carries many of the same features as the Stella McCartney version—and best of all, it won't send your bank account into the red.
