Meghan and Kate's shared charitable interest has always been supporting families and children. Their dedication to these vital causes remains strong, as evidenced by their similar messages of support.

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton's shared baby name dilemma isn't the only thing the pair have in common, they also love all things relating to helping families, children, and parents couldn't be more clear.

On May 11, 2022, the in-laws individually put their royal clout behind important causes, seeking to support struggling families.

Meghan joined the Marshall Plan for Moms in announcing a, "National Business Coalition for Child Care." The collaboration with Meghan and Prince Harry's Archewell Foundation aims to expand much-needed childcare support for workers.

Of the cause, Meghan said in a statement, "Families everywhere, and especially working moms, are asked to shoulder so much. This has only been heightened by the pandemic, with increased caregiving responsibilities, rising prices, and economic uncertainty."

The Duchess of Sussex has worked extensively to support families, and this cause seeks to ensure that women who are also parents don't get forced to leave their careers.

She continued, "As it's been said many times, it takes a village to raise a child. Today, we're sending a message that childcare isn't just a community imperative—it's a business imperative. Creating a stronger workforce starts with meeting the needs of families."

On the same day, while visiting Scotland, Duchess Kate visited the charity Action for Children, of which she is a patron. During the trip, she also met with parents, including Joanne Wales, a tenant of the housing, care, and property management organization the Wheatley Group.

Joanne Wales, a mum-of-four who HELLO! reports has been a single parent since her partner died almost two years ago, opened up about her experience chatting to the Cambridges.

She said, "They just put you at ease, they are so nice and welcoming, they just wanted to make sure that I was doing okay and that I look after myself because sometimes mums tend to put themselves on the backpedal."

Ahead of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, it's sure to be of great comfort to Her Majesty that the next generation are so dedicated to helping make the world a better place.
