Many of us spent last weekend watching the royals celebrate the Queen's Jubilee celebrations - laughing at Prince Louis' cheeky balcony faces to sweet chats with the Queen and even admiring the fashion, from Kate's recycled dress to The Queen's bow brooch that had a long family history.
However, according to one royal expert, we missed an important move from Kate Middleton and even Duchess Camilla. During the balcony scene, on the last day of celebrations, the royals both made sure they stepped aside, so the Queen could be with her future heirs to the throne - Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince George.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl discussed Kate and Camilla's actions during TV show The Royal Beat, “If you’re going to take one image away from the weekend, it has to be (the one of the Queen and her three heirs standing on the Buckingham Palace balcony). A Jubilee isn't just a moment to reflect on the 70 years, but to look forward to the future. "
She went on to say, "The Queen’s message is very clear, this is the future and for the first time in history, we have four generations of royalty. It is extraordinary."
While she also thought it was 'deliberately engineered', as she added, "If you watch the sequence of this, Camilla steps to the side, whilst Kate takes the two youngest children, and leaves the Queen with her three heirs.”
