The Duchess of Cambridge is living up to her unofficial title as the "Children's Princess." Much like Lady Di, Kate Middleton's interaction with little ones appears effortless—and the latest royal news is proof.
• The Queen's Royal Sandringham Estate has opened a new adventure playground that is largely inspired by Kate Middleton.
• The pieces of the playground are modeled after British landmarks.
Taking a page from Kate's book, the Queen's Royal Sandringham Estate opened a new playground on April 12 that models the Duchess of Cambridge's Back to Nature Garden at the 2019 Chelsea Flower Show, according to the Daily Mail.
The adorable play space is a paradise for curious kids who love to run, jump and climb. From wooden bridges to swings and slides, the new spot is guaranteed to provide hours of fun for its young guests.
Designed to encourage children to immerse themselves in nature, the site also boasts a number of novel features you're unlikely to find in your local playground. Kids will be able to climb up into a treehouse, swing from a rope, and even slide down a 14m tube during their time at the attraction, which is open to pre-booked visitors every day from 6 am to 9 pm.
The Daily Mail also notes that the construction of a new play area for children in Sandringham is still ongoing. You can learn about developments on the site's webpage.
The Queen has also had a say in the design of the playground. She reportedly was advised to plant flowers around the area to attract pollinators and bolster the garden's wildlife. The scheme is likely to include the installation of three bat boxes and two bird boxes, both of which would boost the space's biodiversity. Like the Duchess, Her Majesty is passionate about environmentalism and gardening so it makes sense she's had her own say in the design of the playground.
