Here’s how Kate Middleton juggled motherhood duties during Caribbean royal tour
Kate Middleton Whatsapp activity was spiking at 4am during the royal tour for this reason...
The Duchess of Cambridge had little respite from motherhood during the recent royal tour, with 4am Whatsapp messages organizing the children’s activities from thousands of miles away.
- Prince William and Kate Middleton left their three children at home during recent whirlwind royal tour to Belize, Jamaica, and The Bahamas.
- A royal expert has revealed the Duchess couldn’t completely switch off from parenthood as she juggled 4am Whatsapp messages coordinating things at home.
- In other Royal News, The Queen believed Kate Middleton 'needed a job' before marrying Prince William.
She may have been thousands of miles away from her three children during the couple’s recent royal tour, but behind-the-scenes Kate Middleton proved she’s still a hands-on mother.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge left their three children at home while they embarked on this latest royal tour, and the couple had hoped to enjoy some child-free time.
But now a royal expert has revealed that Kate didn’t get as much downtime as some may think.
According to the royal editor, Rebecca English, the Duchess was “juggling” 4am Whatsapp calls, ensuring the children’s extra-curricular activities were all in-hand in between important visits on their whistle-stop tour.
Writing for the Daily Mail, the royal expert said, “The Royal Suite at the San Ignacio Hotel in Belize has gorgeous jungle views and its own outdoor jacuzzi. But neither of those are much comfort when you are exhausted by jet lag and have your children’s playdates to organize—at 4am.

“For the Duchess of Cambridge, a mother’s duties never end. So when Kate’s jet lag kicked in during this week’s Caribbean tour, seeing her wide awake in the middle of the night, I’m told she has spent the time ‘tap-tap-tapping’ WhatsApp messages organizing everything from George’s football matches to Charlotte’s ballet lessons and little Louis’s bedtime routine back in the UK.”
Royal fans know little about what happens behind closed doors at the family’s Anmer Hall home, so it’s a thrill to learn ballet and football are firm favorites of the royal children.
With Prince George having made a special appearance at the Euros 2020 final last year, it’s no surprise to hear the Future King enjoys playing the sport himself.
While the children are no doubt being looked after by very experienced nannies, the Duke and Duchess have made no secret of how much they enjoy being parents.
Their “modern” approach to parenting has always been to give Prince George and his siblings a “normal life” despite their royal roles, which has even caused suggestions that the Queen ‘can’t stand’ some of their parenting habits.
An insider previously told US Weekly, “The royals are renowned for being ‘stiff upper lip’, but William and Kate have a more modern approach to parenting and are moving away from that mentality.”
The couple’s most recent trip has been met with criticism, with some claiming Prince William and Kate Middleton are ‘not welcome’ in Jamaica.
Despite the controversy, the couple put on a united front and dazzled in front of the cameras every day.
It won’t be long before they’re reunited with their three children.
