The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are already proud parents to three young children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, but it’s now been claimed that they are planning on growing their family.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are devoted parents to their children, with recent reports suggesting that Duchess Catherine and Princess Charlotte have a unique hobby. But whilst they have been continuing to carry out significant royal duties throughout the pandemic via video call, it seems that family matters have also not been far from their minds.

The Royal Family has recently welcomed a new arrival as Princess Eugenie gave birth to an adorable baby son on Tuesday. With Prince William’s cousin Zara Tindall and Duchess Catherine’s sister Pippa Middleton both pregnant, this year will see the Cambridges’ family grow. And it's been suggested that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge might just be considering bringing a new little royal into the world themselves…

Are the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge having a fourth child?

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge already have three beautiful children, aged 7, 5, and 2, but now it's been claimed that another baby could potentially be on the way in the future. According to Us Weekly, a source has exclusively revealed to them that: “Having four children was always part of Kate’s plan”.

More from woman&home:

“She put the idea on hold when [the pandemic] hit, but now there is light at the end of the tunnel with the vaccine and [Prince George and Princess Charlotte] scheduled to return to school in April. She feels ready to start trying again,” the source claimed.

“It took a while for Kate to convince William, though,” the insider told Us Weekly. “He said that three children is more than enough. The thought of having four made him feel overwhelmed”.

“But Kate’s desires to have another child have inspired him, and at the end of the day, he loves and appreciates the secure family setting he never had growing up. Why not make it bigger? After taking some time to think about it, he’s on the same page and is excited about the future.”

And when it comes to the gender of a potential fourth child, it's been suggested that Duchess Catherine would hope for another daughter as she and Pippa are "extremely close”.

“She wants Charlotte to have the same enjoyable experience — to grow up with a little a sister to confide in and look out for,” the source claimed to Us Weekly.

There has been no confirmation from the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge and it’s not known whether or not they are in fact hoping to grow their family. However, we’re sure royal fans would be delighted to hear news of another royal baby in the future!
