Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have landed in South Africa for the very first day of their ten-day tour today (Monday).
- The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first stop was the Nyanga Township, where they got the opportunity to see a children’s workshop.
- Whilst there, the couple were encouraged to show off their dancing skills in front of the community.
- This follows royal news that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have done a royal first in reaching out to fans.
A video of the royal couple was shared on Twitter, with girls from the Nyanga arts centre performing for them as they arrived in the township.
During their visit, the Duke and Duchess learned more about the work of The Justice Desk, which focuses on youth leadership and women's rights.
The Duchess was spotted wearing a Justice bracelet, in honour of the work they do.
The royal couple were met with some brilliant dancers as they arrived for the engagement, and it wasn't long before the women were getting the royals to join in!
The Duchess of Sussex was the first to be invited to dance too, with 23-year-old Lilitha Mazana grabbing her for a shimmy.
Prince Harry was also spotted enjoying a dance, much to the delight of a young child in the community - as well as Duchess Meghan!
Royal reporters from the UK also shared some brilliant videos of the moment on social media, revealing that the Duke was more than happy to bust a move in front of his wife.
During the visit, the Duchess of Sussex also gave a powerful speech for the community, as everyone gathered around to listen.
She said: “I do have to say I feel incredibly humbled to be in the presence of all of you as you stand firm in your core values: respect, dignity and equality.”
She continued, explaining that while she was there officially as a royal, she was, importantly, as there as an individual in her support for the community.
She said, “And just on one personal note, whilst I’m here, with my husband, as a member of the royal family...
"I want you to know that for me, I am here with you as a mother, as a wife, as woman, as a woman of colour and as your sister.”
The Duchess of Sussex's speech seemed to resonate with those in the community, as they all cheered and applauded her words.
We're looking forward to seeing more exciting updates from the Duke and Duchess, as we're sure they've got plenty more to explore.
