The Duchess posed with husband Prince William with each of her three children, six-year-old Prince George, four-year-old Princess Charlotte and one-year-old Prince Louis, just hours after giving birth.

And when asked about how she felt when making the appearance on the St Mary’s Hospital steps in London’s Paddington, Catherine replied, "Yeah, slightly terrifying, slightly terrifying,” adding as she laughed, “I'm not going to lie".

“Everyone had been so supportive,” the Duchess continued, “and both William and I were really conscious that this was something that everyone was excited about.

“You know we're hugely grateful for the support that the public had shown us, and actually for us to be able to share that joy and appreciation with the public, I felt was really important”.

The Duchess then expanded on how she felt during the appearance, adding, “But equally it was coupled with a newborn baby, and inexperienced parents, and the uncertainty of what that held, so there were all sorts of mixed emotions."

Well done to Duchess for being so brave!
