Duchess Catherine has made an admission we can all relate to during the country's coronavirus lockdown.

The Duchess of Cambridge has admitted that she misses her family more than anything as the country remains in lockdown due to the coronavirus crisis.

She said, 'I've yet to see my family as they're about three hours away in Berkshire, so I haven't seen them and I miss them.'

Duchess Catherine is very close to her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton and they are also very involved grandparents to Kate and William’s three children.

Last week, the duchess made a special visit to The Nook – one of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices – to help transform the outdoor area into a bright and welcoming patio garden.

During her visit, Catherine made a sweet admission about her own children – Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, five, and Prince Louis, two – who have enjoyed a spot of gardening in lockdown.

Kate said, “The children are really enjoying growing their sunflowers. Louis’ is winning so George is a little grumpy about that!”

The family recently celebrated William's 38th birthday, but according to a royal expert, the date would have been “tinged with sadness” for him.

Katie Nicholl told OK! Magazine, “I know that William has told his friends that he's loved spending so much time with the children in lockdown, but that's been coupled with the sadness that he's not seeing his father."

She added, “Charles and William have become much closer in recent years."
