Buckingham Palace has confirmed details of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's wedding.
- The the royal couple will be tying the knot on 29 May, it's been confirmed by the Palace.
- It's also been confirmed the ceremony will take place at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, followed by a private reception in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.
- This follows royal news that one of Duchess Catherine's secret athletic skill has been revealed by former teachers.
The very exciting news was announced on Twitter, on the official Royal Family page. The full statement read, 'The wedding of HRH Princess Beatrice of York and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will take place on Friday 29 May 2020. The couple became engaged in Italy in September 2019.
'Her Majesty The Queen has kindly given permission for the ceremony to take place at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace.
'The ceremony will be followed by a private reception, given by The Queen, in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.
Explaining the significance of The Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace, the statement added that previous weddings that took place there included that of Queen Victoria to Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg.
'The location for many Royal weddings and christenings the Chapel Royal, situated within the grounds of St James's Palace, is a busy working chapel. The Chapel holds regular services which are open to the general public, as well as hosting some unique Royal services', it read.
'Many Royal weddings have taken place in the Chapel, including that of Queen Victoria to Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg on 10 February 1840. In 1893 the then Duke of York and Princess Victoria Mary of Teck (later King George V and Queen Mary) were married in the Chapel.'
The pair announced news of their engagement back in September, and shared lovely snaps taken by Beatrice's sister, Princess Eugenie.
It was also confirmed that Prince Andrew - who has recently stepped back from his royal duties due to his controversial friendship with - will give away his daughter, but the ceremony will not be televised.
Royal reporter Rebecca English wrote on Twitter, 'Prince Andrew will give his daughter away, it has been confirmed #PrincessBeatrice #RoyalWedding.
'Media arrangements are currently being discussed but the wedding will not be televised and there were no plans to ever do so. This will be a very different ceremony and far less public to that of Princess Eugenie.'
While they are yet to announce who will be in their wedding party, there have been reports that the pair will pick Edoardo's son to the page boy - how sweet!
