The reigning figures in British fashion, including supermodels Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss, and British Vogue editor Edward Enninful, helped celebrate the Prince’s Trust, Prince Charles’ charity, as it launches activity in the United States.

Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Bella and Gigi Hadid, Edward Enninful and Lionel Richie were just some of the superstars on hand to celebrate the work being done by Prince Charles’ charity, the Prince’s Trust, on Thursday night.
The Prince’s Trust Global Gala was hosted by British Vogue editor Edward, who was on hand to celebrate the ambitious development in the charity's global outreach.
The Prince’s Trust, which focuses on youth unemployment, will begin operating in the US for the first time.
Speaking about the event and the goals of the charity, Edward said, “The event celebrates the many young people on Prince’s Trust programmes around the world who are working to build a better future.”
“Since becoming a global ambassador, it has been wonderful to see the Trust extend its reach internationally, and support even more young people from such diverse backgrounds.”
Co-host for the evening was Motown legend Lionel Ritchie who performed to a crowd that included actress Lily James, Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor, Vogue legend Grace Coddington and Burberry’s creative director Riccardo Tisci.
What is The Prince’s Trust and when did it start?
The Prince's Trust is a charity founded in 1976 by Prince Charles.
The purpose of the charity is to help young people get their lives on track, supporting 11 to 30-year-olds who are unemployed, struggling at school, or at risk of exclusion.
The charity all started with Prince Charles. Having completed his duty in the Royal Navy, Charles became fixated on the idea of improving the lives of disadvantaged young people in the UK.
As the charity has been a huge success for nearly five decades, the expansion into the US shows that Charles’ ambition to help the young remains a priority.
Who has The Prince’s Trust helped?
The Prince’s Trust celebrated officially helping over one million youngsters in 2020, and that included some notable celebrities.
In a video celebrating hitting the one million milestone, actor Idris Elba revealed that he received a grant to pursue his career courtesy of The Prince’s Trust.
He says in the video, “When I was about 18 years old, I had the wonderful experience of auditioning for The Prince's Trust. I was awarded £1,500 by The Prince's Trust that gave me my start and my career.”
Selma star David Oyelowo, award-winning music producer Naughty Boy, and rock bands The Stereophonics, Muse, and Elbow are all also notable alumni of the charity.
