But it's about so much more than mascara

Save some room in your makeup bag: Viola Davis is dishing on the best mascaras, how to have the ultimate self-care night, and what beauty means to her. You'll certainly want to steal a few of her ideas and mantras for your own routine.

In an interview with Allure, the How To Get Away With Murder actress and L'Oreal brand ambassador opened up about the forthcoming 30th anniversary of L'Oréal Paris's Voluminous Mascara.

"L'Oréal, for me, is a perfect beauty brand because their mantra is 'You're worth it,' the actress revealed to the publication. "Whatever age you are, whatever color you are, just know you're also worth it, and so am I."

That's a sentiment we can get behind. To go along with that empowering, feel-good mentality, Viola adds a large helping of one of the best L'Oreal mascaras - L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara - when she wants to feel glam. She notes that it's the best way to emphasize your eyes—aka "the window to your soul" and we agree that it's one of the best drugstore mascaras for a dose of glam.

L'Oreal—and Viola—are working to ensure that feeling good and doing good are a seamless fit. Nominations for L'Oreal's  Women of Worth campaign are currently underway until April 30.

"If you know a woman making a difference, NOMINATE HER for a chance to be one of ten selected to receive up to $45k for their charity and a national platform to share their story," Viola captioned on Instagram.

Looking good, doing good, and feeling good are of the utmost importance, and Viola also revealed what makes her happiest: at-home spa days! She'll enjoy a bath and polish off a DIY cleansing with lemongrass and essential oils. She'll also get her 10-year-old daughter in the mix with a fun bubble bath and snacks—the ultimate pampering combo, if we do say so ourselves.

If you're looking for a little TLC right at home—which will help you avoid those awkward spa moments—we'll help you turn your space into a self-care sanctuary. (Much like Viola's daughter, we encourage you to incorporate snacking into your beauty routine.)
