The new trailer for Poldark Season 5 has arrived

Poldark

BBC One has shared a first-look at Poldark Season 5 via the official Twitter account for the series.

Season 5 will be Poldark's final instalment, so we’re hoping there’ll be plenty to look forward to. The trailer alone packs a lot into 30 seconds, with fans getting a glimpse of what’s to come.

In the update, we see lots of guns and swords as expected, as well as Ross (Aidan Turner) and Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson) hugging. We’re not sure what’s next for Ross and Demelza, who have been married on-screen since Season 1.

Fans are commenting on the season, and it seems to be bittersweet for many. Viewers are excited to see it back on their screens, but don’t want the episodes to end.

“Can’t believe this has to end. It is incredible from the crew to the location to the cast. What a series ❤️”

“Anyone else have a lump in their throat? 😥 I think mine won’t be going away anytime soon. It looks so wonderful!! I can’t believe it’s the last series. ❤️” Another agreed.

The BBC One adaptation is the first that’s not directly adapted from the original Poldark novels, written by Winston Graham.

So far, we know that the final season will be focusing on Valentine Warleggan’s (Jack Farthing) parentage, and the mystery surrounding it.
