This is not a drill! Aidan is coming back to Sex and the City. The actor that plays his character, John Corbett, has confirmed that he will be making an appearance in the upcoming reboot of the series headed to HBO.

“I’m going to do the show,” he told Page Six. So, for all those team Carrie and Aidan fans, this news is sure to give you a spark of hope.

He won't be in every episode of the upcoming reboot, but the actor has assured us that “I think I might be in quite a few.”

Back when the show dominated our TV screens, John played the unlucky furniture designer who Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker's character) cheated on with Mr.Big and then was dumped right after he proposed to her character. That wasn't the last we saw of this heartbroken fellow, though. He also made an appearance in the movie sequel when the stars went to Abu Dhabi. It was there he shared a romantic meal with Carrie followed by a single kiss.

As we sit here anxiously awaiting the revival, we can look out for 10 hour-long episodes with our favorite gal pals (well, three out the four from the original main cast). Along with Sarah, we can also look forward to seeing Cynthia Nixon (who played Miranda) and Kristin Davis as Charlotte. Kim Cattrall will not be returning for the reboot, but that comes as no surprise since, in the past, Kim has denied wanting to be a part of any Sex and the City reunion due to the rumored feud she had on set with Sarah.

John spoke about the past set environment to Page Six, commenting on whether or not he noticed any tension.

"I only worked with Sarah Jessica Parker. I think I had one scene with all the girls,” he said. “They were always cordial. Cordial with me. I got to know the other girls because when you show up for work, you’ve got to wait a few hours while they finish up a scene, but we always had nice chats and hugs. I never saw it or heard about it.”

Of course, it definitely won't be the same without Kim as the iconic Samantha, but maybe a potential reconcile with Aidan help fill the gap? I mean, especially since Mr. Big won't be appearing on the show either.
