Tess Daly reveals which member of the Royal Family she wants to see on Strictly Come Dancing

Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly has revealed which Royal she'd love to see taking to the dance floor.

The presenter has been fronting the BBC show since it started in 2004, but there's one famous face she still wants to see put on their dancing shoes.

Tess, 50, says that the Duchess of Cornwall would be her dream contestant.

She told Hello! magazine, 'We'd love to have her.

'Camilla has a great sense of humour and is so down-to-earth. She's a huge fan of Strictly and told us how much she enjoys it.

'We'd love to have her on the show. She's friends with Craig Revel Horwood so maybe I'll ask him to have a word.'

Tess also revealed that she's not keen to dance with her husband, Vernon Kay.

She said, 'I haven't tried my favourite dance - the Argentine Tango - with Vernon yet.

'I'm sure there would be a lot of toe stamping going on.'

Last year, head judge Shirley Ballas said that Camilla would be her first choice to be a guest judge on the programme.

'It would have to be The Duchess of Cornwall because she is an avid fan of the show,' she said, adding, 'she’s followed it from the beginning, she’s intelligent and she obviously has a keen eye.

'I think it would be nice if she could step in for a week.'

And the Duchess herself mentioned Strictly in a speech last September, saying, 'I wish I was as good as all of you, I have a granddaughter who is passionate about [dancing], maybe you will see her one day dancing at Strictly.'

And apparently, the Duchess of Cambridge is a huge fan of the dancing show, too.

When the Duke of Cambridge was asked by host Claudia Winkleman whether he watches the show, William said, 'I have watched the show a couple of times.

'Catherine is a huge fan.'
