Susanna Reid is left swooning as she meets her celebrity crush

Piers Morgan teased co-host Susanna Reid after she was "trembling with excitement" about meeting her celebrity crush on Wednesday morning.

Susanna was interviewing her celebrity crush, Jason Derulo, and couldn't contain her excitement ahead of the live link on Good Morning Britain.

Embarrassing her in front of Jason, Piers said, "I've never seen her more trembling with excitement as she is this morning."

Despite her long and successful career, it was the first time Susanna had interviewed the singer.

Clearly pleased to hear Susanna is a fan, Jason said, "Hey Susanna, how you doing?" To which Piers joked, "Immediately, she's putty in your hands."

And her excitement didn't go unnoticed by fans, with one viewer tweeting, "Jason certainly got Susanna's heart racing... I think all us women should have had Jason's voice going off in our homes during lockdown."

Another said, "Susanna's reaction to Jason is exactly the same as mine every single time he appears on screen."

It comes just weeks after it emerged that Susanna is "giving things another go" with ex-boyfriend Steve Parish, 15 months after calling time on their romance.

Susanna, 49, and Steve, 54, remained on good terms despite their split, which has left things open for them to rekindle.

According to The Sun, an insider revealed, “They’ve obviously decided to give things another go and have been together quite frequently recently.”

Although the couple are trying to keep things low- key, the millionaire’s car has been spotted outside the house Susanna shares with her three children – Sam, 17, Finn, 15, and 14-year-old Jack from her previous marriage to Dominic Cotton.

“Steve has been over a few times. It’s quite conspicuous when he goes there because he has a very flash car,” the source added. “But otherwise they’ve always got on well. Hopefully things work out well for them. They’re both lovely.”

It’s a slice of good news for Susanna after the TV host confessed to being at “breaking point” and revealed she was stepping back from social media after growing tired of the hate online.

Discussing her decision in her Daily Mail column, she said, “When you work in TV you have to develop a thick skin, and I have certainly grown used to criticism.

“If I search online, I can find objections every morning to what I’m wearing, how I’ve done my make up (‘is it Halloween?’) and why my hair is a mess.
