Prince William’s first words after seeing Kate Middleton on their royal wedding day revealed by lip reader
Prince William’s first words to Kate Middleton at the altar at Westminster Abbey were reportedly incredibly adorable…

Prince William was seen whispering to Kate Middleton on their wedding day and now his sweet first words after seeing his wife-to-be have been revealed.
- When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge tied the knot back in 2011, the royal groom appeared to subtly tell the bride something.
- A professional lip reader has now reportedly deciphered what Prince William really said to Kate after she reached him at the altar—and it couldn’t be more adorable.
- This royal news comes as Zara Tindall wowed in a statement Karen Millen cape coat as she snuggled up to Mike at Cheltenham Festival.
The day Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot at Westminster Abbey is one of the most iconic royal moments of recent years. And with so much going on at the royal wedding, it’s unsurprising that there were a few royal conversations that have remained the subject of speculation.
Since the big day itself, what Prince Harry said to Prince William when Kate walked down the aisle has been revealed, but now it seems that another of the royals’ conversations could have been deciphered. Just like the fans watching at home, when Kate Middleton walked down the aisle Prince William only had eyes for her.
But whilst many viewers were left excitedly wondering who designed Kate’s wedding dress and trying to get a better look at Kate’s wedding make-up, for her husband-to-be, it wasn’t the details, but the bigger picture that captivated him.
Opening up to CBS News at the time, professional lip reader Tina Lannin caught the whispers in the Abbey that others might’ve missed. And when it comes to Prince William’s supposed first words to Kate after glimpsing her on the day, it seems he was eager to share his admiration for her.
She expressed her belief that Prince William told Kate, “You look lovely”, before going on to add, “You look beautiful”.
Though not confirmed by the Cambridges themselves, if Prince William did indeed have these sweet first words for Kate on their wedding day, it couldn’t be more heart-warming.
And according to Tina, the Duke of Cambridge was so relaxed after Kate reached him that he even allegedly went on to make a joke to his new father-in-law.
“We're supposed to have just a small family affair,” he's said to have quipped to Michael Middleton.
Whilst the Cambridges’ royal wedding did have the extended Royal Family and the Middletons in attendance, Prince William’s joke did reflect the enormity of the day.
As the future King and one of the Queen’s grandchildren it’s perhaps no surprise that the couple are understood to have ended up inviting 1,900 guests.
Since then the couple have gone on to welcome three children, Prince George, Charlotte and Louis and marked their 10th wedding anniversary last year with a sweet new anniversary photograph. It’s not yet known how they might celebrate their 11th anniversary in April.
But given Prince William and Kate’s Caribbean trip in March, they might well be looking forward to spending their anniversary quietly at home together after this important overseas visit.
