Lisa Marie Presley has made a heartbreaking tribute to her son, Benjamin Keough, on the second anniversary of his death.

Elvis and Priscilla Presley's only daughter honored her late child with an emotional throwback photo on Monday.

Lisa Marie lost her beloved son, Benjamin Keough, to suicide in July 2020, leaving her 'heartbroken, inconsolable, and beyond devastated.'

The King of Rock'n'Roll's grandson, who was 27 when he died, had reportedly suffered from depression throughout his life. He was buried three months after his death at Graceland, Elvis and Priscilla Presley's former Tennessee residence and the legendary musician's final resting place.

Lisa, 54, took to Instagram yesterday to share a poignant memory of Benjamin, whom she shared with her ex-husband, Danny Keough. The post comes shortly after the release of the Elvis movie, which received a standing ovation at Cannes and gushing praise from the Presley family.

"Several years ago, on Mother's Day, my son and I got these matching tattoos on our feet. It’s a Celtic eternity knot," Lisa wrote. "Symbolizing that we will be connected eternally. We carefully picked it to represent our eternal love and our eternal bond."

In the photo, Lisa's pedicured foot is placed gently over her son's on what appears to be an office chair. Both feet have the same permanent illustration of the interwoven symbol, which dates back as far as 2500 BCE.

This isn't the first time that Lisa, who is also the mother of twin girls and actor Riley Keough, has spoken publicly about the tragic death of her son. In May, she took to Instagram to explain how the death of Benjamin has prevented her from being active on social media.

"I am and will forever be mourning the loss of my son," the US singer wrote. "Navigating through this hideous grief that absolutely destroyed and shattered my heart and my soul into almost nothing has swallowed me whole. Not much else aside from my other 3 children gets my time and attention anymore."

She also penned a gutwrenching birthday wish to Benjamin in October 2020, less than four months after his death.

"I worshipped the ground you walked on, on this earth and now in Heaven. My heart and soul went with you," she wrote alongside a photo of her son waiting to blow out his birthday candles. "The depth of the pain is suffocating and bottomless without you every moment of every day. I will never be the same."
