Star of Sex and The City, and now its new spin-off show And Just Like That, Kristin Davis, has hit back at people criticizing her appearance onscreen.
The actress, who was speaking to the Sunday Times Style magazine, said she was shocked by the comments on how she and her co-stars, Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Dixon, looked after the first trailer came out.
Kristin also claimed how 'normal' the set felt without Kim Cattrall filming with them—after the star famously turned down the opportunity to resurrect Samantha in the new HBO series.

Whether you hated every minute of the new series, or can't wait to see episode three of And Just Like That—from its Peloton storyline and awkward 'woke' exchanges the spin-off show has definitely hit the headlines, but actress Kristin says one criticism isn't fair.
Talking about how fans and viewers scrutinized the appearance of her and her co-stars, she said, "Everyone wants to comment, pro or nay or whatever, on our hair and our faces and our this and our that. The level of intensity of it was a shock.”
She went on to say that, after 12 hour days on set, the paparazzi would also try and get bad pictures of the women, making her 'very angry'.
Sarah Jessica Parker has also spoken about ageism in Hollywood, which is never directed to men, but women—talking to Vogue she said, "There's so much misogynist chatter in response to us that would never. Happen. About. A. Man."

The star continued, "'Gray hair gray hair gray hair. Does she have gray hair?' I'm sitting with Andy Cohen and he has a full head of gray hair, and he's exquisite."
And although producers are hoping Kim Cattrall may come back to the new series one day, the show also addresses why the character Samantha, played by Kim Cattrall, isn't in the show - with the storyline that she has moved to the UK for work.
In the same interview, when Kristen was asked about Kim Catterall's role in the show she admitted it wasn't weird her not being on set at all, then went on to say, “We haven’t been together in a long time.”
The TV series finished in 2004 and the cast filmed two spin-off films, the last one, being released over 10 years ago in 2010.
