There are some actors and actresses who go down in history for their stellar careers – and Dame Judi Dench is one of them.

The English icon has wowed generations of fans with her big roles, stunning looks and composed personality – becoming such a multi-generational star that the actress even made an appearance on this month’s cover of British Vogue, becoming the oldest ever cover star in the magazine’s history.

But it seems that there is one thing that the actress regrets when it comes to her career – and it’s something quite unexpected.

Speaking to the Mirror, the Dame revealed her disappointment in the fact that she hasn’t done many sex scenes.

“I have done a few bed scenes,” she said. “Not many in the theatre. What a disappointment”.

Well that was unexpected!

Just last year the actress opened up on having an active sex life in her 80s, telling the Radio Times that the need for intimacy doesn’t ever “go away”.

Sharing her opinion that intimacy isn’t something that is just important for younger generations, the star said, “Well, of course, you still feel desire. Does that ever go?”

She also spoke up giving some advice to people closer to her own age, saying, “To the older reader, I would say: ‘Don’t give up'”.

The dame also spoke last year about how she doesn’t plan to marry again, after her partner of 30 years sadly passed away back in 2001.

Speaking of her new beau, the star said, “I have a jolly nice friend now. I don’t know what the word is because I don’t like the world partner.”

“Partner is something to do with dancing. Partner – horrible word. Friend? No. Boyfriend? No. Chap? Will chap do?” she said, adding, “He’s not going to propose. No, no, no, no, no. Let’s all just pull ourselves together and be our age.”
