Fans spot something hilarious after Holly Willoughby shares rare photo of her dad

This Morning presenter Holly shared a sweet selfie of her and her dad in celebration of his birthday, and fans are loving it.

Holly Willoughby doesn’t share a lot of family photographs on social media, so when she does it always goes down well with her followers. The star mainly uses social media to share ‘outfit of the day’ posts, and work photos.

But to celebrate her father’s birthday, she shared this image to her 5.7m followers with the caption: 'Spent yesterday celebrating this ones birthday... Happy birthday Daddy!!!!! Love you so so much... you are THE BEST! ❤️'

Fans were quick to comment on the post, wishing Holly’s dad a happy birthday. But many noticed his resemblance to actor William Shatner, with one user writing 'Wow! Thought he was William Shatner then! Happy birthday to your Dad!'

Another agreed, saying 'He’s got a look of Captain Kirk about him 😂❤️'. Of course, this is a reference to William Shatner’s iconic character on the TV series Star Trek, which many fans would know him from.

This isn’t the first time Holly’s dad Brian Willoughby has made an appearance on Holly’s social media. The presenter also shared a throwback to her wedding to celebrate Father’s Day, with the caption: 'Happy fathers day to this sparkly eyed bundle of happiness... love you...

'Always smiling, always laughing, always there... love this photo of us on my wedding day... overwhelmed by the emotion of it all and there you are...'

Holly has previously shared a photo of her mum Linda too, with fans unable to believe she was 71 years old! You can definitely see the resemblance in the photo too, which fans loved.

Holly is currently taking a break from presenting This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield, with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford stepping in for the seven-week summer run.

We'll definitely miss seeing Holly and Phillip, but we're glad to see that Ruth is back to her presenting duties again!
