Eamonn Holmes has reportedly quit This Morning after 15 years to join the GB News network.
Eamonn’s reported decision to leave ITV’s long-running morning show comes after he and his wife Ruth Langsford were removed from their regular Friday timeslot on This Morning at the end of last year.
The beloved pair were replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary but continued to host the series during the holidays.

Per The Mirror, one source claims, “Eamonn’s move to GB News marks the end of an era. He’ll be missed by many ITV viewers but, the truth is, this job offer probably came at just the right moment for both him and ITV. All good things come to an end.”
Fans of Eamonn have celebrated the news online, with one user calling it “the news I’ve been waiting for” and another suggesting the appointment of Eamonn to the channel is taking it from “strength to strength.”

So Eamonn Holmes has quit ITV to join GBNews. Looks like, despite all the media put-downs and Andrew Neill's failure to make it BBC light, the channel's going from strength to strength 👍November 12, 2021
When GB News first launched in June 2021, Eamonn was an early advocate, going on record and saying he hoped it would get a “decent chance.”
He said, “We need a shake-up on the news front. I have huge respect for TV news but this is a reminder news is not just Westminster or a constant woke agenda.”
However, many fans are still disappointed to see him leave This Morning.
One fan wrote that she was “so sad” to see him go, alluding to supporting his decision based on Eamonn and Ruth losing their Friday slot.
Some fans are concerned about the reputation GB News has amassed since its inception — many believe the show promotes controversial views.
Veteran host Andrew Neil quit after just eight shows on the network and host Guto Harri quit after being suspended for taking the knee during a debate about racism in sport.
