Britney Spears has sent an adorable message to her husband Sam Asghari in an Instagram post.

The singer, who has just learnt that her ex-husband Jason Alexander will be prosecuted for 'crashing' her wedding, called Sam 'the love of my life', while she went on to write other endearing words about him.

The couple, who were married in Los Angeles in June, seem loved up still, with Britney adding that her husband is a 'humble and honest man'.

On Saturday night the star took to Instagram and posted a picture of Sam, while also saying, 'WHO DAT???? I have NO IDEA???? JUST KIDDING!!! He's the love of my life...the most Honest, Humble, and Genuine man I've ever met!!!'

Britney Spears, who earlier this month showed fans her ‘fairytale’ wedding venue in new photos, married Sam Asghari, 28, in an intimate ceremony at her Californian mansion in June, nine months after she first announced their engagement to the world.

The multi-award-winning singer, who as well as wearing two stunning gowns on the day, splashed out $1000 on beauty products, from Charlotte Tilbury, for her wedding, also welcomed an array of celebrities on her big day.

Posting pictures of her wedding day Britney revealed, "It was the most spectacular day !!! I was so nervous all morning but then at 2:00 pm it really hit me … WE’RE GETTING MARRIED 💍 !!! I had a panic attack and then got it together 🙄🙄 🙄   … the crew who created our home into literally a dream castle were fantastic !!! The ceremony was a dream and the party was even better."

The post shows that the Oops I did it Again singer is still very much in love with her new husband. However, not the same can be said for her ex-husband Jason Alexander.

The star married him on New Years' eve in 2004, although they were officially divorced just days later. Jason broke into his ex-wife's wedding in June, but was stopped by security - and was this week charged with trespassing and battery.

Love life aside, fans hoping for a Britney come back were delighted earlier this month when Elton John confirmed his collaboration with Britney Spears - joining forces to release Hold Me Closer, a remix of the British singer's beloved 1971 hit.

The 75-year-old singer teased the project on his Twitter, revealing the song's title to be Hold Me Closer and posting a link to pre-save it. If that wasn't enough to thrill the Britney brigade, he added an emoji of a red rose, a symbol that has been used by the 40-year-old repeatedly over the past year. A rocketship was also included, likely as a reference to his 1972 song and 2019 Netflix biopic, Rocketman.
