Amy Schumer used national bikini day to share an intimate snap of her son Gene's birth.

While many celebrities used the opportunity to share glamorous bikini pictures, actress Amy shared a shot of her C-Section from 2019.

She simply captioned the pic: "#nationalbikiniday', in reference to the scar left behind from the surgery, which typically sits just above the bikini area.

The comedian was flooded with praise from fans, with one writing: "I was just thinking about how I can’t wear a bikini because of my belly/c section scar but then I looked at pictures of that day and remembered I created a HUMAN! Thank you for sharing yours."

Another said: "Thank you for representing us C-section warriors."

A third follower added: "Best post for this yet."

This comes just two months after Amy opened up about her husband's autism diagnosis.

Amy Schumer has been married to her husband Chris Fischer since 2018 and in a post celebrating her son’s birthday, Amy gushed about her husband.

She said: “I feel loved and supported always. He takes care of our family and is a husband and father beyond my wildest dreams.

Amy then spoke about his autism diagnosis, adding: “Also he has autism spectrum disorder. Being tested and diagnosed has helped us communicate and support each other better.”

Amy went on to talk about her documentary Expecting Amy and how that has helped other people get tested.

She said: "people have reached out to us saying that seeing our doc #expectingamy motivated them to get tested and that it has changed their lives.

"We want to encourage parents and people to give themselves the gift of information so people can function to the best of their abilities and remove any stigma that comes with autism.”

She added: “Statistically our son most likely will be diagnosed as well and if he’s anything like his father that is wonderful news."

So sweet!
