Royal fans could barely contain their excitement as the Duchess of Cambridge effortlessly accompanied Tom Walker for a “beautiful” performance during the Royal Carols: Together At Christmas service at Westminster Abbey.
Kate, 39, debuted her hidden talent as part of the programme which aired on ITV on Christmas Eve.
And despite appearing composed and a total natural during the piano performance, Kate—who wore a festive red dress for the occasion—was “quite nervous” according to her co-performer Tom.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror about the honour of performing alongside the Duchess, he revealed, "She was just so nice. I think the first rehearsal we did she was quite nervous because she hadn’t played with another musician in a very long time.”
The pair were said to have a string of secret rehearsals in the lead up to the event, put on by the Duchess to reflect on the challenges of the past year and focus on the small acts of kindness.

"She’s got a piano at home but the one that we’d rented in for the day was going to be the same one we were using for the actual service,” Tom admitted.
"It was completely different to hers, so she was trying to get the feel for that. She’s just lovely, really chilled out, very nice, seems really approachable and just really lovely."
Having teased a snippet of the performance on social media just days before, fans had an inkling that something special was coming, but had no idea just how incredible the Duchess would be.
Royal fans flocked to Twitter to heap praise on the mum-of-three. “Catherine not only brought together the wonderful people and services in the community who have supported others, she wowed us with her musical talents,” one tweeted.
A second said, “Catherine was incredible. It was a beautiful service, with some amazing readings and performances.”
While a third commented, “Like them or not Kate Middleton is just pure class. Born to be a queen with looks, poise and talent.”
