Who: Katy Brand and Katherine Parkinson Where: King’s Place, London When: September 6th How much: £14.50

As part of the London Podcast Festival, Jennifer Hudson (aka award-winning comedian and author Katy Brand) and Lilian Bayliss (Bafta-winning actor and writer Katherine Parkinson) will be delivering a live version of their light-hearted podcast Women Like US.

Who: Mary Beard, Rachel Reeves and Priti Patel On Women In Power Where: Emmanuel Centre, London When: September 26th How much: £31.90

MPs Rachel Reeves and Priti Patel will join renowned classicist and broadcaster Mary Beard on the Intelligence Squared stage to discuss how women negotiate political power in a largely male-dominated world. Reeves will also talk about some of the trailblazing women who feature in her acclaimed book Women in Westminster, including Barbara Castle, Eleanor Rathbone, Harriet Harman and Tessa Jowell, who all fought for change in the House of Commons – where the number of male MPs outweigh the number of female MPs almost 2:1.

Journalist and radio/TV presenter Mariella Frostrup will be talking about her latest book Wild Women, an amazing anthology that chronicles the best of female travel writing from the 1700s to present day.
