Here at woman&home our top three priorities when choosing new clothes are investing in flattering, comfortable and well-crafted pieces - that are made last. So we feel the need to shout about Phase Eights ‘Penele’ dress which we think might just be the most wearable dress ever made.
The ‘Penele’ style has been in the top 10 best sellers at Phase Eight since March, with the green version completely selling out within a month! And we can certainly see why… Its swing-cut design means it beautifully skims your silhouette, disguising wide hips and bottoms. A softly pleated empire line leaves generous room for a larger bust, gently draping down to hide a tummy or lack of waist. With a flattering v-neck and slight puff sleeves, this dress is stylish without being too on-trend- meaning it really will last you season after season.
The newest colourway that’s just hit stores is this black & camel version. We love that it has a hint of leopard about it without being too literal. The great thing about this colourway is that it’s considered neutral so you can pair it with a bright scarf or accessories if you want to add a pop of colour. It also looks great with smart trainers, black tights and ankle boots or knee length boots- versatile is its middle name!
The new colourway has also been introduced into the Studio 8 collection- available in sizes 20-26. Phase Eight’s inhouse designers have made sure to fit the dress on their dedicated plus-size fit models (size 18 and 24) to ensure an optimal plus size fit.
You can shop the dress here along with other colour styles still in stock. We adore the red midi version, £99, and the new Penele blouse, £65 which has just been introduced to the range.
Penele red midi dress £99
Penele green swing dress £69 (was £89)
Penele navy swing dress, £89
