If you're a follower ofTheDuchess of Cambridge's style, you'll know that her flawless taste extends to her killer footwear collection.
The Duchess' shoe collection features a variety of luxurious brands including Jimmy Choo, Alexander McQueen and Prada. However, she's a great advocate of affordable, high street brands too. It doesn't stop and start with her widelyrecognised fondness for L.K. Bennett heels either; she was recently spotted sporting a pair of very budget-conscious New Balance trainers during a visit to Northern Ireland.
With her shoe collection taking in a range of classic courts, comfortable wedges or durable knee-high boots - practical styles that are suitable for a whole range of royal duties - there's plenty to take note of and transfer into our own busy lives! So if you want to step out like a Royal, we've rounded up the most affordable and stylish pairs in the Duchess' shoe collection...
Even royals need to dress down sometimes, and the Duchess of Cambridge is a huge fan of a comfy pair of trainers.
But perhaps her most loved brand of trainers are her favourite, very affordable ones, from Superga.Catherine has had her Superga's white COTU Classic shoes for years now, and regularly wears them on less formal occasions.
She wore them most recently on a visit to the Chelsea Flower Show, where she was seen exploring the garden she designed in the functional but stylish footwear.
Most recently, she debuted a new pair of blue trainers from New Balance, which are surprisingly affordable. During a recent visit to Northern Ireland, Catherine and her husband changed into their sports gear and took to the field for a lively game of football - the perfect place to wear trainers!
Proving royals definitely do casual wear too, the Duchess of Cambridge has worn an assortment of other trainers. Kate's New Balance shoes are the Fresh Foam Cruz v2 Nubuck, which currently retail on the website for £80. And if you don't fancy the Duchess' blue version, they're also available in red, pink and a lighter blue. Add these to our shopping baskets ASAP!
Over the years the Duchess has sported a selection designer shoes. However, she also has a soft spot for the British high street, with L.K. Bennett's ‘Fern' shoes clearly a firm favourite. They nude heels have seen plenty of wear since they first made an appearance on the 2016 Royal Tour of India. Their simple and timeless style makes them perfect for a whole range of events, from visiting schools to touring the Taj Mahal.
L.K. Bennett's ‘Sledge' shoes have also become a go-to for the Duchess, who has worn them again and again - around 200 times to be precise! The chic heels made their debut back in 2011 at the Epsom Derby and, since then, have been worn on numerous occasions - most memorably at Zara Phillip's wedding and during the 2014 Royal Tour of Australia.
Maybe the secret to the Duchess' looking so at ease in heels is down to her go-to designs being genuinely comfortable. But even Catherine has a little trick up her sleeve, in the form of trusted £15 high heel insoles from Alice Bow!
Gianvito Rossi shoes
Rossi's shoes are known for their comfort and elegance, so it's no wonder the Duchess frequently turns to them to complete an outfit. Other A-list fans of the brand include Amal Clooney, Reese Witherspoon and Courtney Cox.
The Duchess owns the Gianvito Rossi heels in four different colours: black, red, burgundy and (unsurprisingly) nude.
Over the years, the Duchess has demonstrated the sheer versatility of wedges, sporting them with a whole range of pieces, from dresses to jeans (and everything in between). Her most iconic pair were from Monsoon and featured an espadrille heel.
The Duchess prefers a cork finish and has pairs in this style from L.K. Bennett and Stuart Weitzman.
When it comes to boots, there are two brands that stand out for the Duchess - Aquatalia and Penelope Chivers.
The ‘Rhumba' by Aquatalia (also known as "Hi and Dry" at Russell & Bromley) is the Duchess' boot of choice. She was first seen wearing this style back in 2011, and has since become a firm favourite in her wardrobe.
The Duchess also sported a pair of Penelope Chivers tassel boots for more than a decade – they dated back to her days at university.
