Amal Clooney looks stunning in this strapless dress on the red carpet in London
Human rights lawyer Amal Clooney made a rare appearance on the red carpet at the Prince's Trust Awards earlier this week

Amal Clooney always makes memorable fashion choices and her latest appearance on a red carpet, at the Prince's Trust Awards in London earlier this week, is no exception.
Amal, who a few months ago opened up about what it's really like to be married to George Clooney, wore a strapless, column red floral midi gown, which she paired with white stiletto heels and a clutch of the same color.

This silk faille strapless column dress with a pleated bust and show-stopping bow sash also features a concealed black zipper.
The 44-year-old British-Lebanese barrister’s beauty game was strong as well: she donned her hair down in waves surrounding her on-point red lip.
Amal, who shares twins Alexander and Ella with husband George, attended the 17th annual event to present the Amal Clooney Women's Empowerment Award, sponsored by Charlotte Tilbury. The honor, which Amal launched back in 2019, seeks to recognize young women's global achievements.
The award certainly calls out to Amal's work as a lawyer who specializes in international law and human rights. She, in fact, recently spoke to Time (opens in new tab) about her career.
"I’m responding to what I see happening in the world," Amal said to the outlet back in March. "A world where the guilty are free and the innocent are imprisoned, where the human-rights abusers are free and those who report on the abuses are locked up. As a lawyer, I can do something about that or I can at least try. So my work is focused on trying to help liberate victims and prosecute perpetrators. [...] When I choose a case, I think carefully about the ripple effect. So I do think about which cases are going to have the greatest impact, not only for that individual but for others who are vulnerable as well."
In the same interview, Amal discussed balancing her celebrity and her work, especially given her marriage to superstar actor George.
"In terms of an increased public profile, I think all I can do is try to turn the spotlight to what is important," she explained. "That can definitely benefit some clients. If I am at a work function and reporting of it focuses on irrelevant issues, there’s not much I can do about that. Since I can’t control it, my approach is just not to dwell on it and just get on with my work and my life and hope that attitudes will catch up. And I do actually feel like there is a female solidarity that has built up on these issues where other women will sort of call that out in a way that maybe wouldn’t have happened five or 10 years ago. So attitudes are changing."
