The latest trend, according to Allure, is matching your Christmas nails designs to your face mask. Dedicated fans have been creating festive and intricate designs on their nails to match their PPE and the good news is it’s not too tricky to recreate them at home.

Facemasks are obviously here to stay and with so many designs to choose from it’s easy to update your look while keeping safely covered. We’ve seen a whole heap of celebrities take their face covering pairings very seriously, with Sarah Jessica Parker scooping the top prize for her super stylish pink heels and matching mask.

Argentinian based nail artist Maria Castro Ferreya created this look with mini crystals to complement the jewels in her mask, the result is pretty impressive and perfect for Christmas, yet is super easy to recreate at home with pre-glued nail gems.

This festive gold star design by Nargis Khan is slightly harder to recreate and requires the steadiest of hands, but the results when paired with a matching mask are stunning.

Another starry design, but one that seems slightly easier for anyone painting their Christmas nail designs at home is this gorgeous nail and mask comb by nail stylist to the stars Gina Edwards. Gina, who has previously worked with Kim Kardashian, used OPI Nail Polish in Black Onyx for the base of her nails and OPI Nail Polish in Ornament To Be Together for her fun festive stars.
