Australia is most popular among Filipinos, who are likely attracted to the sunny nation for its brilliant beaches and big cosmopolitan cities. Australians, though, are more keen to visit the Maldives - a stunning archipelago of atolls with white-sand beaches and glorious luxury resorts.
In Brunei, the most popular holiday destination for its residents is neighbour Malaysia, which has some fantastic islands and brilliant trekking oppotunities in its thick jungles. The UK appeared to be the top-searched destination for just one nation: Federated States of Micronesia.
The British bucket list: most popular holiday destinations
For us Brits it seems Spain is still favourite with over 180,000 searches per month. Spain’s sunny costas and spectacular countryside are the big draw, but its capital, Madrid, is a fantastic weekend break destination, and Barcelona has best of both worlds, with beaches, museums, exceptional restaurants and flash hotels.

Italy came in second place for the Brits, with just over 126,000 searches a month from our devices. Rome and Venice are no doubt the big hitters here, with an extensive collection of artworks and incredible historic sights between them. But Italy’s Tuscan vineyards and gorgeous coastlines aren’t to be missed either.
