Anyone looking to book a relaxing break next year is in luck, as the best spas in the UK have been revealed.

The World Spa Awards have crowned their 2019 winners for the UK - looking across a number of categories such as best country house hotel spa and best wellness retreat.

The Lanesborough Club and Spa in London was named England’s Best Hotel Spa.

Located in Knightsbridge, the luxury health club offers a selection of facials, massages and scrubs.

Just a few miles away in Surrey, the Grayshott Health Spa picked up the award for England’s Best Wellness Retreat.

It boasts a variety of award-winning health programmes, healthy stays and enrichments, hosted by health consultants, nutritionists, physiotherapists, fitness professionals and natural therapy specialists.

England’s Best Country House Hotel spa went to theThe Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa in Bath.

The spa is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Some of its standout features include the 12-metre heated relaxation pool, the Vitality Pool (designed for aching muscles) and the Herbal Steam Inhalation Room.

With it being a five-star hotel, it’s hardly a surprise that the facilities are of the utmost luxury.

But the accolades don't stop there.

Lanserhof at The Arts Club in Mayfair was crowned the World’s Best Private Member’s Club Spa 2019.

The central London venue is known for its innovative medical treatments created by some of the world's leading experts.

What’s more, the venue scooped up the award for World's Best Spa Design 2019, too.

A double whammy.

Winners for Scotland, Wales and Ireland were also revealed.

The Spa by ESPA at The Gleneagles Hotel won Scotland's Best Hotel Spa.

Whereas, Vale Spa at The Vale Resort was crowned Wales' Best Resort Spa.

For Ireland, it wasThe Spa at Ashford Castle which scooped Best Hotel Spa.

This year marked the fifth edition of the World Spa Awards - which aims to celebrate excellence within the spa tourism industry.
