Kerry Washington stuns with her bare-faced selfies and gorgeous natural curls
Washington's hairstylist Vernon Francois reveals how to make the most of your natural hair texture.

Fans were treated to a surprise when Kerry Washington's natural curls took front and centre in a recent Instagram post.
The 44-year-old actress, who normally wears her hair straightened, is currently directing episodes of Insecure - the hilarious comedy created by and starring Issa Rae- but took time out from her schedule to curate her own photoshoot.
Sharing her relaxed vibe with her 6.3 million followers, the Little Fires Everywhere star carried off the no make-up look to perfection. As well as causing a stir with her naturally glowing skin, Washington's selfies also highlighted perfectly coiled curls that knocked years off.

"Sodium laurel sulphate (SLS), the most common ingredient in regular shapoos, is both a salt and detergent," he explains. "This means it's too harsh for most curls as it strips away natural oils." Try the Vernon Francois Pure-Fro Shampoo for a gentler option as it additionally contains melon oil to soften and smooth curls.
Francois also warns against using harsh styling products as the twists in Afro hair are its weakest point and where it's most likely to snap off. Briogeo's Curl Charisma Rice Amino + Avocado Leave-In Defining Creme both holds a curl but also doubles up as a leave-in conditioner.
