While Catherine hasn’t long held the title of Princess of Wales, she’s already got the support of one of the biggest names to come out of the country. The Oscar winning actress, who was born in Wales, took to Instagram to share her love and support for Princess Catherine earlier this week.

Taking on a title previously held by Princess Diana can be daunting for anyone, and that’s exactly what Kate Middleton has experienced with hers and Prince William’s official new titles.

As the Queen passed away and his father became King Charles III, William inherited Charles’ former title of Prince of Wales, and Catherine became the Princess of Wales.

Fortunately, the new Prince and Princess of Wales have been welcomed at the country from which their titles are named after, but, in a gesture that’s sure to bolster Princess Catherine’s confidence, she has a vocal supporter in Catherine Zeta-Jones.

On Wednesday, the Chicago star posted a photo of Princess Catherine during her visit to Swansea, the birthplace of Zeta-Jones.

In the snapshot, the royal is hugging a 2-year-old girl named Charlotte dressed in a traditional Welsh costume. Charlotte is the daughter of Reverend Steven Bunting, the man who hosted Catherine and Prince William during their visit to St. Thomas's Church in Swansea.

Catherine Zeta-Jones shared the photo with her over four million followers and added a touching caption, declaring, "I love our Princess of Wales. I love our Welsh National Costume."

Many of Catherine Zeta-Jones' followers also shared the star's admiration.

Comments on the post include, "So very proud of our new Princess of Wales such a gorgeous photo" and "Dwi'n caru William a Kate. Tywysog a Thywysoges Cymru" which translates to "I love William and Kate. Prince and Princess of Wales."

Having Catherine Zeta-Jones’ seal of approval should speak volumes for the new Princess of Wales – Zeta-Jones has long been outspoken for her undying love for her home.

The Mask of Zorro actress returned  in 2019 with her husband, Basic Instinct’s Michael Douglas and their son Dylan, to participate in Swansea's 50th birthday celebrations and receive the Freedom of the City of Swansea, the highest honor that can be bestow on a person.

“What I miss about Swansea is the immediacy of my family and being like ‘this is where we used to do this,’” the star told Wales Online at the time.

“It’s so beautiful to see Swansea with the weather like this. I went for a walk near my parents’ house yesterday. I miss enjoying the beauty of Swansea and the familiarity of bumping into childhood friends.”

She added, “I’m very honored and humbled and very happy to share it with my family here in Wales, as well as my friends and mentors throughout the years.”
